As the second pilot test star of the "Tiansuan constellation" program, innovation Raytheon is mainly based on the satellite ground integration distributed network verification platform jointly developed by Beijing University of Posts and telecommunications, Huawei cloud and Peking University.

The "Tiansuan constellation" program, jointly initiated by Shenzhen Research Institute of Beijing University of Posts and telecommunications and Tianyi Research Institute, aims to serve major national strategic needs and international scientific and technological frontier exploration. Through the intelligent, service-oriented and open design of satellites, it will build an open-source platform for on orbit test of aerospace computing integrating industry, University, research and application, so as to promote China's 6G network Provide technical support for the development of Satellite Internet and other technologies.

By deploying an edge computing intelligent base based on kubeedge, innovation Raytheon will realize satellite ground distributed networking with the first pilot star "Baoyun" launched in December last year to build a heaven earth integrated distributed computing platform to meet the explosive data growth of space Internet and the diversity needs of satellite services in the future.

According to Wang Shangguang, chief scientist of "Tiansuan constellation" and professor of Beijing University of Posts and telecommunications, kubeedge is used to provide cloud based computing power such as network, communication and computing for satellite applications, as well as cloud edge and edge collaboration capabilities, so as to complete the deployment, control and collaboration of application scenarios such as satellite earth perception computing, remote sensing reasoning and service computing.

There are 6 satellites in phase I of "Tiansuan constellation", including 2 main stars, 2 auxiliary stars and 2 edge stars. Among them, the main star "beiyou-1" will be launched in July this year. It is planned to complete the networking construction of phase I of the constellation in 2023. Huawei cloud, as one of the first co construction units of "Tiansuan constellation", will cooperate with Shenzhen Graduate School of Beijing University of Posts and telecommunications to apply the "distributed cloud native" solution to the six satellites of "Tiansuan constellation" phase I to form a collaborative computing network in space.
