He introduced that the Guangxi Pilot Free Trade Zone was officially listed on August 30, 2019. In the past two years, Guangxi has focused on the three major characteristics of ASEAN, serving new land and sea channels, and opening up along the border, and has accelerated the construction of a cross-border industrial chain supply chain value chain for ASEAN. In order to build an international logistics hub connecting ASEAN and China’s domestic markets, the Guangxi Pilot Free Trade Zone relies on the new land-sea channel sea-rail combined transport logistics system to create the first mutual recognition mechanism for railway "One container to the end, overseas return" full international multimodal transport mode; speed up the promotion of trade "single window" data and information interconnection with Singapore and other ASEAN countries; implement new models such as "direct delivery by ship, direct shipment at arrival" and other new models.
In the first half of this year, the container throughput of Beibu Gulf Port with Qinzhou Port as its core squeezed into the top 50 global container throughput ranks.
The Chongzuo area, which borders Vietnam by land, promotes Pingxiang Port to become China’s first railway port designated supervision site for the entry of fruits, pioneered the direct route of Vietnamese vehicles to the factory area, and launched China’s first China-Vietnam and China-Thailand routes Border fruit train.
In terms of cross-border financial reform and innovation, the Guangxi Pilot Free Trade Zone has expanded the two-way flow of cross-border RMB channels, developed regional transactions between the RMB and the Cambodian riel and other ASEAN currencies in the inter-bank market, and innovated the RMB against the Vietnamese dong funds The clearing model promotes the RMB-denominated settlement of bulk commodities. At present, the Guangxi regional currency exchange market has become one of the markets with the most listed currencies, the most overseas participating banks, and the most active transactions in China.
With the improvement of the business environment, the cross-border industrial chain supply chain value chain for ASEAN is accelerating the formation of the Guangxi Pilot Free Trade Zone. According to Yang Chunting, relying on leading companies such as AAC Technology, Sannuo Digital Technology, and Fugui Precision, the Guangxi Pilot Free Trade Zone is building an industry chain for mobile phones, computers, and smart terminals, as well as a new generation of network communication equipment industry chains.
Yang Chunting said that in the next step, the Guangxi Pilot Free Trade Zone will also build a cross-border industrial chain such as new chemical materials, Chinese medicinal materials, and ASEAN specialty product processing, accelerate the construction of China-ASEAN economic and trade centers, and establish foreign investment promotion center.
